Bank of Eastern Oregon Senior Vice-President and Chief Lending Officer John Qualls recently graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School, according to a company press release.

For the past three summers, Qualls attended the two-week program at the University of Washington in Seattle. The curriculum included courses in lending, law, accounting, leadership and numerous inter-year problems, as well as a thesis.

“I appreciate the opportunity to further my banking knowledge, hone my leadership skills, and network with other bankers from across the nation,” said Qualls.

Qualls joined the bank in 2002. Through the years he has served in various capacities, currently overseeing all loan officers, mortgage and loan servicing areas of the bank. He and his wife, Doashea, have three children and live in Heppner.
