MT. VERNON – State Sen. Ted Ferrioli will be the moderator for the candidate night coming up at the Mt. Vernon Grange on Sunday, April 6.

The event will start at 3 p.m., and cookies and coffee will be provided by the Grange.

All of the candidates for Grant County commissioner – incumbent Boyd Britton and challengers Sam Palmer and Gary Delaney – are expected to be there, as will incumbent District Attorney Ryan Joslin and challenger Jim Carpenter.

U.S. Rep. Greg Walden is unable to attend, but his challengers – Republicans Dennis Linthicum and Democrats Aelea Christofferson and Frank Vulliet say they’ll attend.

Also on the list are state Rep. Cliff Bentz, running for re-election as a Republian, and Peter Hall running on the Democratic side in District 60.

The format will include five-minute presentations by each candidate, with time for rebuttal, and questions from the audience.

As in past candidate events, audience members will be asked to write their questions on cards, which will be sorted for duplicates and clarity and then presented by Ferrioli.
