JOHN DAY – Training and Employment Consortium in Grant County is offering On the Job Training, a program to help employers take on new workers.

Through the program, TEC can help train the new employee and defray the costs, with employers reimbursed for up to 50 percent of the wages during the training period. The training can be customized to meet the needs of the business and the participant, with the goal of creating a long-term employment relationship.

The employer remains in control of hiring and personnel decisions, and training is to the employer’s standards.

For more information about the program and how it might work, businesses can contact Tonya Fox at TEC, 541-575-0251.
