Here's a look at this week's local law enforcement logs.

Arrests and citations in the Blue Mountain Eagle are taken from the logs of law enforcement agencies. Every effort is made to report the court disposition of arrested listed.

Grant County Sheriff

CANYON CITY – The Grant County Sheriff’s Office reported the following for the week of Nov. 14-20:

• Concealed handgun licenses: 2

• Average inmates: 15

• Bookings: 8

• Releases: 11

• Arrests: 1

• Citations: 4

• Fingerprints: 7

• Civil papers processed: 18

• Warrants processed: 9

• Assistance/welfare check: 6

• Search and Rescue operations: 1

• Joshua Archer, 34, John Day, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and expired plates.


John Day dispatch worked 92 calls during the period of Nov. 17-21. Along with the various traffic warnings, trespassing, injured animals, noise complaints and juvenile complaints, these calls included:

• John Day Police:

Nov. 18: Domestic incident reported on Southwest Hillcrest Drive.

Nov. 19: Cited five people at Meadowbrook Apartments in John Day, on varying charges of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, furnishing alcohol to minors and minor-in-possession of alcohol.

• Grant County Sheriff:

Nov. 18: Hit-and-run reported at the airport.

• Prairie City ambulance:

Nov. 17: Responded for a man with heart problems.

Justice Court

CANYON CITY – The Grant County Justice Court reported the following fines and judgments:

• Violation of the basic rule: Nathaniel J. Moon, 31, Bend, 80/55 zone, fined $260; William Edward Leenheer, 70, Norwood, Colo., 84/55 zone, fined $260; Samantha Bonny Scholz, 19, Terrebonne, 80/55 zone, fined $220..

• Driving uninsured: Alyssa Lambeth, 16, Canyon City, fined $260; Ian Humbird, 18, Canyon City, fined $260; Travis Benjamin Farr, 21, Canyon City, fined $260.

• Failure to signal turn: Alyssa Lambeth, 16, Canyon City, fined $110.

• Expired license plates: Ian Humbird, 18, Canyon City, fined $110.

• Open container of alcohol: Lynn Sitman Burton, 63, John Day, fined $260.

• Dog as a public nuisance: Dora M. Wadley, 24, Mt. Vernon, fined $260, six-month diversion, to be dismissed if there are no further convictions before May 19, 2015.

• Driving while suspended-violation: Travis Benjamin Farr, 21, Canyon City, fined $435; Alice B. Bartow, 66, Prairie City, fined $435.

• Failure to renew registration: Cody Levi Darling, 30, Veneta, fined $110.

• Failure to register vehicle: Jesse Sky Madden, 45, Canyon City, $110.

• Mark D. Reasoner, Mt. Vernon, convicted of misuse of 9-1-1. He was sentenced to 48 hours in jail, 12 months probation, and fined $240.

• Raegan Sherman, Mt. Vernon, convicted of minor-in-possession of alcohol. She was fined $260.
