Grant County elected officials are sworn in

Elected Grant County officials were sworn in Friday morning at the circuit courtroom at the Grant County Courthouse in Canyon City. County Judge Scott Myers, left, led the ceremony, swearing in Surveyor Mike Springer, Assessor David Thunell, Treasurer Julie Ellison, Sheriff Glenn Palmer and County Commissioner Jim Hamsher.

Three newly elected and two incumbent Grant County officials were sworn in Friday morning at the circuit courtroom at the Grant County Courthouse in Canyon City.

County Judge Scott Myers led the ceremony as Surveyor Mike Springer, Assessor David Thunell, Treasurer Julie Ellison, Sheriff Glenn Palmer and County Commissioner Jim Hamsher agreed to their duties.

The courtroom was filled with more than 50 people in the audience.
