City of John Day and Oregon Department of Transportation officials announced a 72-hour parking ban starting at 12 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, along Highway 26 and Highway 395 in John Day due to snow clearance.

Areas for the parking ban include South Canyon Boulevard from Southwest 4th Street and north to Main Street on Highway 395.

On Highway 26, the parking ban goes from 751 West Main St. near Mills Building Supply and east to the intersection of East Main Street and Hillcrest Road, at the top of the hill.
