Free legal consults for low-income individuals

The Oregon Law Center, a nonprofit firm that provides free legal assistance to eligible low-income individuals, will provide private consultations with an attorney for civil legal problems Dec. 5 at the Department of Human Services office, 725 W. Main St., John Day. Individuals must contact the office, 888-250-9877, beforehand to schedule an appointment. The center generally provides assistance for employment, housing, domestic violence, sexual harassment, family law, public benefits, immigration and civil rights issues.
