The National Weather Service has issued a fire weather watch for Tuesday afternoon through late Tuesday night.
A trough will approach the coast Tuesday and Wednesday with increasing pressure gradients. Dry conditions and increasing winds Tuesday and Wednesday will create several hours of critical fire weather conditions. Breezy winds and slightly higher humidity is expected Thursday.
The trough will also bring moisture on a southwest flow with a chance of thunderstorms in the Blue Mountains. Thunderstorms are not expected to be numerous or have abundant lightning, but with dry conditions and little precipitation, the chance of fire starts is high.
