Ralph Steelman of Hines was among 19 trap shooters competing in the Aug. 27 Past Members Memorial Shoot at the Seneca Trap Range.
Steelman won first place in the adult division All Event.
His name will be added to the event trophy.
The shoot was held in memory of past members Myrtha Fields of John Day and Dale Rushton of Diamond.
Other winners included Dillon Cozart in the youth All Event, as well as Carroll Walton, Bryan Wolf, Larry Whitney, Bryce Otley, Casey Otley, Quinn Larson, Dwayne Timmons and Wayne Hoppe.
Over $700 was paid out to the winners.
Trap club secretary Nancy Chase said even though it was a hot day, they had a fair turnout for the five events.
“It was a good shoot, and everybody seemed to have a good time,” Chase said.
The trap club will hold a Ducks and Beavers 15 pair double shoot at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16.
“You have to shoot the orange bird before the green one,” Chase said. “We’ll also have fun and games.”
The range is located on the south side of Seneca; a sign shows where to turn off of Highway 26.
