Sharon L. Kimball, 85, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, at her home in Florence. She was born Dec. 18, 1931, in Burlington, Colorado, to Henry and Ruth Winston. As a child, she moved to Eugene with her family where she was raised and educated.
Kimball enjoyed many diverse careers. She managed a charter boat business, cattle ranch and spent time in the retail clothing industry.
She had many lifelong friends which she continued to visit and communicate with throughout her life. She will always be remembered for her love of life and great sense of humor.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Kimball, and daughter Linda Erickson. She is survived by sons Greg Vaughn and wife, Gloria, of Drain and Chris Vaughn and wife, Renee, of Reedsport; step-daughters Colette Kimball and partner, Diana Avery, of Cottage Grove and Rachel Beer of Rock Springs, Wyoming; eight grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at Canyon City Cemetery. Burns’s Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
