JOHN DAY – The citizen group Forest Access for All will hold a workshop in John Day to help people with the comment process for the Blue Mountains Forest Plan Revision.

The session will be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at the Grant County Senior Center, 142 N.E. Dayton St. It is one of a series the group is holding throughout the region. There also will be a 5:30 p.m. meeting July 11 at Burns City Hall.

The group is concerned that the revision will limit motorized access will be limited to certain routes and that roads will be decommissioned, among other concerns about wilderness designation and fish habitat protections that would restrict vehicle use.

Comments on the forest plan revision are due to the Forest Service by Aug. 16.
