JOHN DAY – The Blue Mountain Hospital nursing staff has found a winning recipe for a creative fund-raiser.

In fact, they have about 150 recipes in their new cookbook, “Diet as Tolerated,” which they are selling to raise money to fund a nursing scholarship for local students.

Staff and visitors contributed recipes to the hardcover books, which are three-ring binder-style and come with a stand. They sell for $15 each, and are available at the nurses’ station.

The nurses hope to raise enough money to offer a scholarship at the end of this school year, which would be open to local graduates interested in pursing careers in nursing.

For more information about the cookbooks, call the hospital at 541-575-1311, or stop by the nurses station.
