Salem oncologist Bud Pierce has conceded to Oregon Gov. Kate Brown.

Brown, the Democrat who became governor when John Kitzhaber resigned in February 2015, will now fill the remaining two years of her predecessor’s term.

At 9 p.m., Brown lead her challenger with 51 percent of the vote to his 43 percent.
