Winter storm warning issued for areas in Grant County

A winter storm warning has been issued for areas in and near Grant County, beginning this afternoon through Wednesday evening.

Snow accumulations in Davyille, John Day, Mitchell, Monument and Spray are expected to be 4 to 7 inches, and temperatures will be very cold throughout the storm with temperatures dipping to 9 to 19 above zero, with a wind chill between 15 below and 5 above zero.

Winds will be 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

Snow will taper off and end late Wednesday afternoon or early evening.

Brothers, Paulina, Prairie City and Seneca can expect snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches with a wind chill between 15 below and 5 above zero.

Long Creek and Granite can expect snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches, and 1 to 3 inches in Ukiah.
