Winter Storm Warning issued in Grant County

The National Weather Service has issued weather warnings for Grant County until 4 a.m. Friday.

For southern Grant County, including Seneca and Prairie City, a Winter Storm Warning was issued with snow accumulations of 4-7 inches expected in higher elevations. Significant reductions in visibility may occur.

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions are occurring. Keep an extra flashlight, food and water in the vehicle in case of an emergency.

For northern Grant County, including Long Creek, a Winter Weather Advisory was issued with snow accumulations of 4-8 inches expected in higher elevations.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow-covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
