GREEN GOLD TIMBER HISTORY
This purpose of this site is to display some of the historic material collected about the history of the timber industry in parts of central and eastern Oregon. The site has a special section devoted to a history collection project initiated by the school at Seneca, Oregon. Seneca played an important part in the history of the timber industry in Grant & Harney Counties for a number of years. You can view photographs of student activities and watch how their project progresses.


Incident Information System
InciWeb is an interagency wildland fire incident information management system. The system was developed with two primary missions: The first was to provide a standardized reporting tool for the Public Affairs community during the course of wildland fire incidents. The second was to provide the public a single source of information related to active wildland fire information.


LEWIS & CLARK BICENTENNIAL COUNCIL
The Lewis and Clark Expedition of 1803-1806 was a major event that shaped the boundaries and the very future of the United States. It is the mission of the National Council of the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial to commemorate that journey, re-kindle its spirit of discovery, and acclaim the contributions and goodwill of the native peoples. In cooperation with state, federal, and tribal governments – and all interested individuals and organizations, the Council will promote educational programs, cultural sensitivity and harmony, and the sustaining stewardship of natural and historical resources along the route of the Expedition.

NATIONAL PARK SERVICE
On October 2, 1968, Congress enacted the National Trails System Act and recommended the Lewis and Clark Trail for inclusion as a part of the National Trails System. In 1978, Public Law 95-625, amended the National Trails System Act to include the new category of National Historic Trails and designated the Lewis and Clark Trail as one of four National Historic Trails. The primary purpose of a National Historic Trail is commemoration of the historic events that form the Trail's central theme through historic interpretation, preservation, and public use.


Northwest Interagency Coordination Center
The Northwest Interagency Coordination Center serves as the northwest area geographic focal point to provide logistical support and intelligence relative to anticipated and ongoing wildfire activity for all federal and cooperating state wildland fire suppression agencies. The Center facilitates movement of resources between agencies' units and, concurrently, ensures fire suppression capabilities to support large fire potential by monitoring weather and prescribed burning activity within the area. The Center also responds to requests for support to other geographic areas from the National Interagency Coordination Center at the National Interagency Fire Center.
