Well over 100 Grant County citizens gathered at a human rights rally Feb. 26, expressing their opposition to a hate group's intentions to move to the area.

The demonstration was held in downtown John Day between two Knowledge is Power meetings which drew more than 300 people to each session to hear attorney Norman Gissel and human rights advocate Tony Stewart share their expertise on such issues. The two men also joined the rally.
