JOHN DAY – Artists of all kinds are welcome to showcase a sampling of their work at an “Art at the Airport” show Friday and Saturday, Feb. 7 and 8, at the Grant County Regional Airport.

The showing fee is $5 a person. Those interested may bring their pieces from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, or 10 a.m.-noon Friday, Feb. 7.

The art show opening will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday. Artists are asked to bring appetizers to share.

Hours for the show on Saturday are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Patricia Ross will lead a mosaic demonstration at 3:30 p.m., and Laurie Hueckman will offer one on pottery at 4 p.m.

Plans for a drawing class are in the works.

Any artists who would like to leave a piece for display at the airport after the show, can call airport manager Patrick Bentz at 541-575-1151.
