BURNS — The Harney County Restoration Collaborative will gather on Tuesday, June 28, to tour areas treated with mechanical thinning and prescribed fire on the Dairy Project.

The meeting will convene at 8:15 a.m. at the Emigrant Creek Ranger District office in Hines, and leave at 8:30 a.m.

Anyone with an interest in timber harvest, forest restoration or small diameter timber sales is encouraged to participate. Those attending should bring lunch and water.

Due to the rough roads, the Forest Service will provide transportation for those with low clearance vehicles. Contact Jason McGovern at jmcgovern@.fs.fed.us for a ride.
