PRAIRIE CITY – All are welcome to attend a ceremony commemorating Memorial Day 11 a.m. Monday, May 26, at Prairie City Cemetery.

The brief event by American Legion Post 106 will include a firing squad salute, taps and prayers. The cemetery will be decorated throughout with American flags, courtesy of Legion members.

After the remembrance, a memorial wreath will be dropped in the John Day River from the Bridge Street bridge.
