JOHN DAY – Participants and visitors to the Grant County Fairgrounds last weekend shared a common thread – a love of quilts.

Quilts filled Trowbridge Pavilion with a rainbow of colors and a multitude of patterns for the 15th Grant County Quilt Show Sept. 6 and 7. Submissions also featured a wide range, from recently crafted designs to vintage, classic treasures handed down through families.

Featured guest this year was Dee Brown of Washington state.

The annual event is presented by the Grant County Piecemakers Quilt Guild.

The Guild meets from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. the first Monday of each month – except November and December – at the United Methodist Church in John Day.
