Passport to Fun

Jessica Barnett of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument shows children fossil replicas on March 28 during the Passport to Fun activity day. Other stations included arts and crafts, a STEM activity, kids yoga and panning for gold. Passport to Fun, held during the week of spring break, gave children, ages 7-12, and their parents or guardians an opportunity to explore the local museums which had special events for the visitors. The event was organized by Peggy Murphy, curator of the Grant County Historical Museum, and several volunteers.
