JOHN DAY - Well-wishers are collecting money to help a local family cope with expenses after two of their children became critically ill.

A bank account is being set up at Sterling Bank for donations to help Terry and Leann Coalwell of John Day.

The Coalwells' sons - Trevyn, 4, and Ryan, 2 - came down with a lung infection and were taken to Blue Mountain Hospital Saturday, Jan. 19. Ryan was taken by air ambulance to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, and Trevyn was taken there by car.

Anyone who wants to help the family can contact Sterling Bank, Sherri Giffin, 575-0344 or 620-1666, or Winnie Browning, 620-0748.
