DREWSEY - Oregon Adventure Camps, a nonprofit Christian ranch camp ministry, will sponsor weekend retreats, day outings or overnight accommodations at the Agape Ranch near Drewsey. Weekday groups also are welcome, including church groups, home-schooled families or others.

The program, held Sept. 12-28, will include horseback riding, wilderness skills, art classes, archery, Bible studies, music and challenge competitions.

Owner Janet Long has opened her 40-acre property near Van for Christian ministry. The program will be under the direction of Ken and Dee Heil, who are home-school parents and have 20 years experience as camp directors.

Long is an artist who has participated as Artist in Residence at area schools and teaches college art classes through the local extended education office.
