As of January 1, Paul's Bus Service introduced a lower price tag for a ride to the ski area.-
The price was decreased in hopes of attracting more people to ride the bus to and from the ski area.
"We are very happy that Paul's Bus Service is lowering their prices in order to get more people up to the ski area. It is a great way to conserve gas and also gives individuals an option from driving themselves," said Jerry Krieg, marketing director at Ski Anthony Lakes. -
Prior to Jan. 1, the price was $8 for a round-trip ride from La Grande to Ski Anthony Lakes, a distance of approximately 88 miles.
Paul's will now give the same route for $5 round-trip and $3 for a one-way ride.
The bus service picks up in the Safeway parking lot in La Grande, leaving at 7:30 a.m. and returning around 5:30-5:45 p.m.-
Paul's Bus Service will also make a pickup in North Powder, but riders must call 963-6384 for the bus to make the stop.-
Community Connection in Baker City also has a bus run, picking up passengers at the Geiser Grand Hotel at 7:30 a.m. at a cost of $8 round trip.
The bus will also stop in Haines, but anyone wanting to board there must contact Community Connection at 523-6591 to schedule the pickup.
