Beverly M. Brazil, 64, of John Day died May 26 at her home.

She was born Sept. 8, 1938, at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

In 1952, she moved to Grant County, settling at Dayville and graduating from Dayville High School.

On July 5, 1956, she married Charles M. "Punk" Brazil in Winnemucca, Nev. They lived at John Day where she was involved in the real estate business for many years.

Mrs. Brazil enjoyed birds and gardening, camping with her family and four-wheeling. She was active at the John Day Senior Center and caring for the elderly. She loved to play bingo.

Mrs. Brazil is survived by son and daughter-in-law, John and Lori Brazil; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Bill Morrison of Pendleton; sisters, Shirley Stone and Brenda Schmick of Murphy; and five grandchildren.

A graveside service was held May 31 at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Canyon City. Autumn Funerals in Redmond was in charge of arrangements.
