NEWBERG - Prairie City's Lindy Black scored 14 points for the East team in each of the two games at Class 1A East-West All-star Basketball Series on June 17 game at Corbin College and June 18 at George Fox University, as the East swept the West.

In Friday's game, Lila Forte poured in a game-high 24 points as the East came away with a 65-46 victory.

The East team took a commanding 35-15 lead after the first 20-minute half and added 30 points in the second half to secure the win.

Katee Humphrey paced the East team on Saturday with 23 points as the East all-stars rolled to an 83-68 win.

The East had four players in double figures in the game, with Keri Kordatsky hitting for 14 points and Forte scoring 10.

The annual games match up the top graduating seniors from Class 1A girls basketball teams from around the state.
