JOHN DAY - Blue Mountain Hospital has announced their scholarship award winners for 2009.

Lincoln Mosier and Megan Gilliam from Grant Union High School, and Kaitlin Woosley from Dayville High School each received $1,600.

Kelsi Livran, Kayla Barrietua, Brennon Witty and Taylor Croghan from GUHS, and Colbee Ennis from Prairie City were each awarded $1,000.

Eligible applicants must be Grant County graduating seniors entering a healthcare-related field.

Kara Kohfield-Hilton, who is finishing her education to become a paramedic, received a $3,500 grant. Eligibility requirements include being a Grant County high school graduate and planning to work for Blue Mountain Hospital.
