Caitlin Elizabeth Brockway and Randy Lloyd Dowdy were married July 21 in a sunset wedding on the shore of Wallowa Lake. The grooms uncle, Alan Hansen, officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride, a 2010 Grant Union High School graduate, attended Eastern Oregon University, and works for Wyoming Adventures. She is the daughter of Jennifer Whiton of Victor, Idaho, and Tom Brockway of Brookings.
The groom is a 2008 Grant Union High School graduate, and graduated from Northwest Lineman College, and works for Govert Powerline Services. He is the son of Sherri and Lenny Dowdy of John Day.
Maid of honor was Vanessa Hamsher, and bridesmaids were Lindsey Driscoll, Desirai Orozco and Erin Kunzler, all friends of the bride. Flower girls were the grooms nieces, Halle Parsons and Jordan Ross, both of John Day.
The best man was Lloyd Dowdy of Terreton, Idaho, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Lenny Dowdy, the grooms father, Riggin Dowdy, son of the bride and groom, and Casey Brizendine, friend of the groom.
Honored guests were Lois Hickerson of John Day, the grooms grandmother; Ronald Dowdy of Mt. Vernon, the grooms grandfather; Diane Taynton of John Day, the brides grandmother; and Ronnie Dale of John Day, the brides uncle.
The couple, who honeymooned at Wallowa Lake and Boise, Idaho, have made their home in Glendive, Montana.
