BAKER CITY - Tim Smith and Cliff Bentz, candidates for state representative in District 60, will appear in a debate from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, in the Baker High School Commons, 2500 E St.

Organizers have asked the candidates to list of up to five issues they feel are most important to Oregon voters. A panel will ask questions on these issues for the first half of the evening and then the candidates will respond to questions from the audience. 

Bentz, an Ontario lawyer, was apppointed to the District 60 post in January. Smith, a geologist and rancher, is from Burns.

District 60 includes Baker, Malheur, Harney and part of Grant County.
