Francis and Bonnie (Shaffer) Kocis of Canyon City, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 4. They spent the day on the road, traveling home from Portland after the holidays.

The couple were married Jan. 4, 1964, in Marysville, Penn. They have three daughters, Deborah (Dave) OÂ’Dell of Hockinson, Wash., Ann (David) Knox of Quilcene, Wash., and Olesa Kocis of Portland; and six grandchildren, Christopher, Patrick, Rachel, Emily, Jared and Olivia.
