CANYON CITY – Oregon State Police reported two rollover crashes – about two hours apart – into Canyon Creek last Friday, Aug. 17.

No one was seriously injured in either incident, police said.

The first crash occurred at 4:30 p.m. on Highway 395, at milepost 4.5. Troopers assisted the Grant County Sheriff’s Office in removing the driver, Gladys Colman, 77, of Sebastopol, Calif., from her Honda Civic, which had landed upside down in the creek.

She and a passenger, who had already escaped from the car, were treated for minor injuries at Blue Mountain Hospital.

Two other passengers also got out of the car, unhurt.

The second crash, about 6:15 p.m., was near milepost 8. As troopers arrived, the driver was crawling out of the Honda Accord, which had overturned into the creek.

Jason Roumagoux, 35, of Corvallis, was taken to Grant County Jail, charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and careless driving.
