JOHN DAY - A program on bridge construction projects and contracting opportunities has been rescheduled for the August meeting of Grant County Chamber of Commerce.

The presentation, focusing on benefits to the local economy resulting from the Oregon Department of Transportation's upcoming bridge construction projects, originally set for the July 10 Chamber meeting.

The rescheduled session will be at noon Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the Outpost Restaurant, 201 W. Main Street, in John Day.

Skilled highway construction workers, contractors and materials suppliers are in demand in Eastern Oregon as ODOT repairs or replaces hundreds of bridges through the $1.3 billion OTIA III State Bridge Delivery Program.
