Churches set table for events

2nd SaturdayJOHN DAY - A "2nd Saturday Gathering" will be held 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Outpost Restaurant.

Dawn Salani will give a personal testimony and Kathy Rogers will provide praise and worship music.

Pancake feedCANYON CITY - The public is invited to St. Thomas Episcopal Church's pancake feed from 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the parish house.

The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Children under age 6 are free. The menu includes regular and sourdough pancakes, ham, scrambled eggs, fruit and beverages.

Eucharist and Confirmation services will follow at 7 p.m., officiated by Bishop Nettie Riveria.

Lenten lunch, serviceCANYON CITY - Everyone is welcome to a lenten lunch from 11 a.m.-noon Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church parish house.

Soup, bread and cookies will be served, followed by an Ash Wednesday service at noon, officiated by Bishop Nettie Riveria.

Evangelistic SeriesMT. VERNON - Evangelist Cody Francis will present a free series on Bible-based evangelism at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Mt. Vernon Grange.
