Charges against Donald C. Stout, 62, Ontario, of fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence and harassment, allegedly committed on Oct. 22, were dismissed Dec. 17 following a motion from the district attorney stating that the victim had moved away and was no longer cooperating with the state to bring the case to trial.

Dec. 20: Following a traffic stop on Highway 26 east of Moon Creek Road, Colton J. David, 23, Dayville, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and no insurance, failing to register and operating with nonstandard lighting.

Dec. 22: Investigated a noninjury crash on Highway 26 east of Dayville that occurred when the driver of a westbound SUV lost control for mechanical reasons. The vehicle locked up, slid 180 feet, went airborne off the road, cleared a fence and rolled 2 1/2 times. The driver and his dog walked away from the crash.
