CANYON CITY The Grant County Justice Court reported the following fines and judgments:
Driving without a license: Ruben B. Delacruz, 44, San Diego, Calif., fined $242.
Making an illegal U-turn: Nicholas K. Lupercio, 55, Chino, Calif., fined $190.
Violation of the basic rule: Joshua Kane, 40, Long Beach, Calif., 75/55 zone, fined $190.
Driving while suspended: Joshua Louis Archer, 32, Prairie City, fined $472; Autum L. Brooks, 32, Baker City, fined $427.
Failure to change drivers license address: Seth R. Walker, 22, John Day, fined $142.
Violation of the speed limit: Autum L. Brooks, 32, Baker City, 44/25 zone, fined $190.
CANYON CITY The Grant County Circuit Court reported the following fines and judgments:
Paul Christopher Flinn, 42, was convicted, based on Alford pleas, of the following:
Contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor: Sentenced to jail for 20 days, bench probation for 18 months and 40 hours community service, and fined $518, plus $1,000 in restitution to the victim. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim or her immediate family.
Furnishing alcohol to a minor: Sentenced to jail for 20 days, bench probation for 18 months and 40 hours community service, and fined $168, plus $1,300 in restitution to the victim. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim or her immediate family; also, no contact with minors while he is in possession of alcohol. The sentence is to be consecutive to the previous one.
Counts dismissed were two for unlawful delivery of marijuana to a minor, four for contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor, one for furnishing liquor to a minor, and third-degree sexual abuse.
Roger Dale Boyd, 41, was found guilty by court verdict of the following:
Driving under the influence of intoxicants: Sentenced to jail for 20 days, supervised probation for 18 months and 40 hours community service, and fined $1,903. His drivers license was suspended for one year.
Three counts recklessly endangering another person: For each, he was sentenced to jail for five days, supervised probation for 18 months and 40 hours community service, drivers license suspended for 90 days, and fined $502. One sentence was consecutive to the DUII charge, the others were concurrent with all previous sentences.
Reckless driving: Sentenced to supervised probation for 18 months, drivers license suspended for 90 days, and fined $67. He was ordered to have no contact with the victims and to write letters of apology to them.
Violation of the open container law in a vehicle: Fined $260.
Nolan Donald Vannevel, 21, pleaded guilty to the following:
DUII: Sentenced to bench probation for 18 months, 80 hours community service and drivers license suspended for one year, and fined $1,616.
Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana: Drivers license suspended for six months and fined $648.
Counts for recklessly endangering another person and for third-degree theft were dismissed.
Oregon State Police
At 1:37 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, Oregon State Police investigated a single-vehicle injury crash on Highway 395 at Silvies. The driver, Tammy Lynn Jenkins of Canyon City, was taken to Blue Mountain Hospital, and later to Bend via AirLink, for medical treatment.
Friday, Feb. 24, OSP cited Paul Cooper, 51, of Monument, on the North Fork John Day River, for angling for steelhead without a combined angling tag.
Saturday, Feb. 25, OSP cited and released Jacob C. Price, 39, of Bend, on the main stem of the John Day River, for fishing without a combined angling tag.
Sunday, Feb. 26, OSP cited John W. Grant, 33, Mt. Vernon, for angling for trout closed season.
On Sunday, Feb. 26, OSP cited John Combs, 42, of Seneca, and Randy Combs, 62, of John Day, for unlawful entry to a wildlife area while closed, in the Phillip W. Schneider Wildlife Area on Highway 26.
