CANYON CITY The Grant County Justice Court reported the following fines and judgments:
Violation of the basic rule: Jesus Ambriz, San Bernardino, Calif., 71/55 zone, fined $190; Robin Christiansen, Bend, 75/55 zone, fined $155; Rita Smith, John Day, 75/55 zone, fined $155; Stephanie Finlayson, Burns, 76/55 zone, fined $235; Devin Peterson, John Day, 82/55 zone, fined $287.
Violation of the speed law: Jenifer Cook, Redmond, 44/25 zone, fined $155; Karen Hinton, Mt. Vernon, 41/25, fined $155; Russell Namitz, Coos Bay, 42/25 zone, fined $155.
Careless driving: Savanna Richardson, Pilot Rock, fined $365; Gary Peterson, Lake Oswego, fined $472.
Illegal alteration of plates: Charles Fischer, The Dalles, fined $235.
Endangering a child passenger: Cloud Allison, John Day, fined $142.
Alehandra Tavera, John Day, was convicted of second-degree disorderly conduct and fined $307.50.
Amy Ceja was convicted of driving while suspended, and sentenced to bench probation for 12 months and 24 months community service. She was fined $500, with $300 to be suspended upon successful completion of probation.
CANYON CITY The Grant County Circuit Court reported the following fines and judgments:
Deanna Marie Jones, 23, was convicted of second-degree assault, sentenced to prison for 70 months, post-prison supervision for three years, and fined $607. For first-degree criminal mistreatment, she was sentenced to prison for 24 months, to run concurrent with all previously imposed sentences, and fined $607. Two counts for first-degree assault were dismissed.
Justin J. Wood, 24, was convicted of possession of methamphetamine, sentenced to jail for 120 hours, supervised probation for 18 months, 80 hours community service, and fined $823.
Alfie Elberta Ludahl, 43, was convicted of driving under the influence of intoxicants, sentenced to jail for 48 hours, bench probation for 18 months, and 40 hours of community service. She was ordered to write a letter of apology to the victim, and fined $928. Her drivers license was suspended for one year. On one count of failure to perform the duties of a driver (property damage), she was sentenced to bench probation for 18 months, 40 hours of community service, and fined $578. Her drivers license was suspended for 90 days. Two counts of DUII and one for reckless driving were dismissed.
Grant County Sheriff
Cotie Pifher, 30, Salem, was cited for failure to drive within lane and driving while suspended violation.
Joann Mickle, 23, Salem, was cited for furnishiung alcohol to a minor.

May 30: Cited a John Day man for speeding on Highway 26 east of John Day.

May 23: Arrested a Canyon City man on a warrant; arrested a Canyon City man for a domestic incident.
May 27: Cited a Lebanon woman for speeding on Highway 26 west of Mt. Vernon; cited a Prineville man for speeding on Highway 26 in Mt. Vernon.
May 28: Cited a Paulina driver for speeding on Highway 26 at Laycock Creek Road; cited a Brookings man for speeding, driving while suspended and uninsured.
John Day ambulance:
May 24: Responded for a woman who was ill and semi-conscious.
May 25: 45-year-old man who was having a seizure.
May 27: Responded for an elderly man with chest pains.
Prairie City ambulance:
May 26: 76-year-old man with breathing problems.
May 30: 78-year-old woman who had fallen.
Mt. Vernon ambulance:
May 27: Responded to a bicycle accident.
May 30: Man, 59, ate a poisonous mushroom.
