Arrests and citations the Blue Mountain Eagle reports are taken from the logs of area law-enforcement agencies. Every effort is made to report the court disposition of all arrests listed.

Justice CourtCANYON CITY - The Grant County Justice Court reported the following fines and violations:

? Jonathan Rose, John Day, was cited for visible emissions, driving while suspended, driving uninsured and having an open container of alcohol. He was found guilty of visible emissions and driving uninsured and fined $260.

? Thomas Seater, Klamath Falls, was cited for failure to have a big game tag while hunting. He was fined $299.

? James McClure, Hillsboro, was cited for violation of the basic speed rule (73/55). He was fined $145.

? Markus Mitchell, Murphy, Idaho, was cited for speed rule (43/25). He was fined $145.

? Kevin McKeigue, Seattle, Wash., was cited for violation of the basic speed rule (83/55). He was fined $242.

? Walter Fleming, Bend, was cited for failure to validate an elk tag. He was fined $150.

? Brian Wolf, Huntington, was cited for violation of the basic speed law (53/35). He was fined $110.

? Patrick Wilber, Drewsey, was cited for hunting elk without a tag. He was fined $225.

? Gary Ackley, Cottage Grove, was cited for hunting elk without a valid tag. He was fined $225.

? Beverly LaFollette, Burns, was cited for violation of the basic speed rule (75/55). She was fined $110.

? William Kindall, Prairie City, was cited for violation of the basic speed law (68/55). He was fined $145.

? Dawn Haney, Canyon City, was cited for failure to carry proof of insurance. Charges were dismissed when proof was shown.

? Christopher Cross, John Day, was cited for an unlawful turn. A hearing was held and he was found guilty and fined $85.

? Rick D. Schmucker pleaded guilty to failure to immediately validate a big game tag. He was fined $500 and his hunting privileges were suspended for two years.

Circuit Court? Joseph Johnny Lane, 53, of Canyon City, was found not guilty, following a jury trial, on the charge of furnishing alcohol to a person under the age of 21.

Oregon State Police? Nov. 28 - Officers responded to a single vehicle crash on SR 19, near milepost 106. The driver of a 2003 Astro van lost traction on a corner and rolled into the John Day River. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed by Doug's Towing.

Grant County Sheriff? Nov. 27 - James Tibbetts, 18, Mt. Vernon, was cited for minor in possession of alcohol.

? Nov. 27 - Dawn Haney, 33, Canyon City was cited for defective lighting and failure to carry proof of insurance.

? Dec. 3 - Jessica Anne Thomas, 23, John Day, was arrested for a conditional release violation.

? Dec. 4 - A juvenile was cited for violation of the basic speed rule (86/55), driving uninsured and failure to carry registration.

John Day Police? Nov. 30 - Brian Frank Hueckman, 24, John Day, was arrested on charges of failure to appear.

? Nov. 30 - Rafael Castaneda Ortega, was cited for violation of the basic speed rule.

? Dec. 2 - Jonathan H. Blackburn, 29, John Day, was cited for violation of the basic speed rule (42/25).

DispatchJOHN DAY - The John Day Dispatch office received 133 calls for the week of Nov. 27 to Dec. 3.

These calls included reports of fires, health issues, traffic accidents, assaults, requests for information, reports of livestock on the highway, domestic disputes, traffic violations, requests for assistance, and missing individuals.

Grant County Sheriff deputies were called to Charolais Heights to assist with a custody dispute; John Day Ambulance was dispatched to Humbolt Street for a 70-year-old female who was feeling dizzy; Grant County Sheriff was called to Vaughan Lane for a report of an assault; John Day Ambulance responded to Canyon Blvd. for a 79-year-old female with difficulty breathing and chest pains; Oregon State Police responded to a car that had slid off the road on Highway 26 due to icy conditions; John Day Police were called to McDonald's for a report of careless driving; John Day Police were called to Chester's for a report of a hit and run; John Day Ambulance responded to Valley View Care Center for a female that had fallen; Grant County Sheriff and John Day Police were both called to Seventh Street for a domestic dispute.
