BAKER CITY - A Seneca woman died Monday morning in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 7 .

Patricia Marie Walker, 53, was killed when her 2000 Nissan van veered off the highway and rolled several times, said Undersheriff Warren Thompson.

The crash happened at 9:16 a.m. about five miles south of Baker City.

The cause of the accident was under investigation. The pavement at the scene was dry and bare at the time of the crash, he said.

Walker left La Grande at about 8:30 Monday morning and was traveling to her home in Seneca with her 10-year-old grandson, Cole Walker.

The boy was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Health Services, where he was treated and released.
