Commuters who use Highway 395 south of Canyon City can expect delays during the month of May, according to the state Highway Division.

Crews began work on curve realigment earlier this spring, resulting in some delays. The wait may be longer now that paving work has started this week, officials said.

There will be one-lane traffic in a 15-mile segement of the highway. Drivers are asked to watch for the flaggers and follow the pilot car through the construction area. Delays could be up to 20 minutes.

The work will be done during daylight hours through May.
