Delcie Elma Hogeland Perdue, of Unity, died in Hospice in Phoenix, Ariz. on Dec. 27, 2005. She was 86.

Mrs. Perdue was born May 26, 1919, in Heppner to Russell and Ida (Crewdson) Hogeland. She grew up in Mt. Vernon. In 1961, she and her husband, Darrel Perdue, purchased the Waterhole in Unity. They sold the business in 1984, and retired to Elgin. When Mr. Perdue died in 1995, she moved back to Unity to be closer to her friends and family.

Mrs. Perdue is surived by her daughter, Letha; 4 granddauthers, Lee Ann, Carla, Deborah and April; 7 great-grandchildren and 5.5 great-great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Ethel, Peggy, Viola and Nancy; brothers, Herman, Richard and Lennis; numerous nieces and nephews and many beloved in-laws.

There will be no service at this time. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
