Long Creek’s annual first responder appreciation dinner raised more than $9,000 this year.

Over 145 people turned out April 28 to support the Long Creek Ambulance Crew and Volunteer Fire Department.

“The dinner this year was great,” Mayor Don Porter said. “As emergency services responders, we appreciate our supportive community!”

The funds will be used to purchase a hydraulic powerlift gurney.

Silent and live auction items included gift baskets, handmade items, gift certificates, toys, tools, artwork and other treasures donated by community members and businesses throughout Grant County and beyond.

The dinner was hosted by the Long Creek School Booster Club and the City of Long Creek.

Eighteen Long Creek students served the meal.
