Dixie Beard clowns around

The Eagle/HEATHER SHEEDY<br> Dotsee (a.k.a. Dixie Beard) provided entertainment for the community at Grant County Fair.

JOHN DAY - Dotsee the Clown (a.k.a. Dixie Beard) has arrived. She is available for events - occasions such as birthday parties, family reunions, company picnics, grand openings, educational programs or gospel presentations.

She will cater to the community's needs by customizing for a theme and can provide face painting, animal balloons, skits and general clowning around. Snoozy the Clown (a.k.a. Dorothy Pollak) is available to assist.

"I don't act, I am being myself," said Beard. She feels it's important to enjoy life and have some fun.

Beard enjoys children and began clowning in 1988, attending clown classes and camps. She also was a member of Clowns of America International, through which she attended competitions and conventions, also received ideas from Creative Ministries conferences.

She lives west of John Day and can be contacted 932-4214.
