Jan. 17, 1934 - April 21, 2003

Dona Lee Lambert, 69, of Prineville died April 21 at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend.

She was born Jan. 17, 1934, at Prairie City to Don and Lola Janney. She grew up in John Day.

In 1971, she married Homer Lambert in Winnemucca, Nev., then worked for her husband as a secretary at Lambert's Heavy Hauling in Hines until 1981, when the couple moved to Oregon City and operated an Amway business. In 2001, they relocated at Prineville.

Mrs. Lambert was a member of the Christian faith and loved being a homemaker, caring for her family and socializing with friends.

Mrs. Lambert is survived by her husband, Homer Lambert of Prineville; son, Fred E. Moore of Fox; mother, Lola Janney of John Day; brother, Gerald Janney of Dayville; five grandchildren, one step-grandchild and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, and son Wesley in 1991.

A memorial service was held April 26 at the Prineville Funeral Home, which was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Red Cross or Salvation Army.
