Lineah Barnett of Long Creek, an epilepsy patient herself, is organizing the event.

Both participants and sponsors are sought for the “per donation” walk. Proceeds will go to the National Epilepsy Foundation or the Northwest Epilepsy Foundation, for research purposes, raising community awareness, and making life more manageable for all degrees of epilepsy patients and their families.

Donations made for the John Day event should be made by check or money order only. People are encouraged to wear light lavender or purple at the event.

More details about the walk will be available as the date nears.

For more information, call Barnett at 541-620-1072.
