Ezekiel Joel Martin, of Mt. Vernon, died April 22, 2006. He was 21.
A memorial service was held Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Clyde Holliday Park in Mt. Vernon with Pastor Dan Wiese officiating.
Mr. Martin was born in Notus, Idaho, May 8, 1984. He will be remembered by all as a hard working, fun loving, caring person who was always willing to lend a hand to cheer you up or lighten the load.
He loved motorcycling, snowmobiling, snowboarding, hunting, camping and fishing.
He was a great athlete who put his prowess to use fighting fires for the U.S. Forest Service. He had just returned from a forest fire in New Mexico shortly before in died.
Survivors include parents Gene and Teresa Hatcher; brothers, Rondi, Jeremy, Joshua and Daniel Lambeth; sisters, Abigail Barrietua and Charlotte Hatcher; grandparents Pete and Karen Barrietua, Sybil and Henry Hinatsu; five half-brothers; two half-sisters; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
