Fire Burns Through Vacant Home

A vacant home went up in flames last night in a North Medford neighborhood.

Medford Fire & Rescue said they arrived to the 1000 block of Easy street at around 5:30 this morning.

They believe the fire started in the garage.

"It had been, like I said, posted that it was abandoned. But we believe some people had been sneaking in and staying the night." said Battalion Chief Brian Fish.

Fish says it will be up to the bank to decide what they're do with the house.

The loss is valued at about 100-thousand dollars.

Also, remind people if you see any activity in a vacant home call police or the fire department.
