CANYON?CITY - Ready to review their ABCs and 123s, kindergarteners got their start at Humbolt Elementary School Sept. 2.

Teachers Sophie Cosgrove and Shermayne Boethin said they've been pampered in the past with smaller class sizes. This year they are seeing a slight jump with about 20 students in each class. However, with their teacher assistants - Amy Kreger in Cosgrove's class, and Michelle Willey helping Boethin - they say they're prepared to meet the needs of the students.
