Postal carriers will be delivering yellow bags to mailboxes throughout Grant County, and the nation this week.

Postal patrons are asked to fill the bags with canned goods, which will be donated to the needy through the annual Letter Carriers' Union Food Drive.

The filled bags will be picked up at mailboxes on Saturday, May 12.

Foods identified as "most wanted" for the drive include canned fruits and veggies, canned tuna, soups, stews, chili, beans, rice, boxed meals and peanut butter.

Food collected in the drive is given to food bank programs in the local community.
