JOHN DAY - Melvin Jones, now that you've won the Football Contest twice, what are you going to do next?

Jones went 13-2 in the first installment of the contest, and not satisfied with winning only once, he finished 14-1 this week to take first again. It went down to the tie-breaker. The Cleveland Browns beat the Tennessee Titans 31-28 (in overtime, no less) in the tie-breaker game. Jones guessed Cleveland by a score of 28-21. Not bad.

The Blue Mountain Eagle pool ended with David Carkhuff and Diane Reimers boasting impressive 14-1 finishes. Heather Sheedy went 13-2 to pull into a tie for third place. Hey, did everybody see Joey Harrington nearly pull off an amazing comeback for the Detroit Lions? Nearly, of course. The hapless Lions lost 37-31 to Green Bay.

Note: Thanks go out to Kelly Rise, who finished 12-3 as our guest picker. This guy knows more than water-rights law! He even correctly predicted Florida's surprise 30-13 win over Tennessee in the college action. This week, Alec Moore of Dayville sits in the hot seat.
